The cabin was exactly as it was pictured on the website. We invited my in-laws at the last minute and they were very accommodating and let us have a bigger cabin that wasn’t rented. It’s minutes from town but the setting makes it feel like miles. I would definitely stay again. Thank you for the peaceful weekend.
Rustic cabins in a wooded location, only 5 minutes from Burnside Marina! These are cute little basic cabins for a weekend getaway. Nothing fancy, but has what you need for spending your days on the lake. Kids enjoyed visiting the miniature horses, peacocks, and chickens! We would stay here again, Mike and Dona took great care of us!
We had the pleasure of staying at Lost Lodge for the extended July 4th weekend. We were not only extremely happy with our stay but our expectations were exceeded! The cabins are fully stocked with every basic necessity to cook and live comfortably through the long weekend. Emphasis here on basic necessity: the owner will let you know that towels, dish soap, and toilet paper are provided and to bring your own toiletries. We recommend to come prepared with hand soap, paper towels, salt, pepper, oil and cream/sugar for your coffee. Our 1 towel per person was sufficient but I highly recommend to bring extra if you are enjoying a day at the lake for example. The air conditioning worked great, our sheets and towels smelled and felt clean, the fridge was so cold our food was almost frozen (which is a good problem!) and having a reliably warm shower was icing on the cake for our “glamping getaway.” Firewood was hand delivered to our fire pit which was extremely convenient. We ordered 2 nights of firewood at only $10 per night and was provided with more firewood than we could burn! Worth every penny!! Although the location is not as “secluded” as a campground deep in mountains, I promise that soon as you step out back it feels as though you are being transported to a private, magical forest… complete with roaming peacocks and ponies!! Our dog thoroughly enjoyed experiencing all the new outdoor sights, sounds and smells at our pet friendly stay. Plus the location is truly amazing! The cabin is easy to find and conveniently located to nearby restaurants, a gas station, and a short drive to many outdoor recreational amenities. My only complaint is that while recycling is encouraged (“mandatory” was the actual term used during check-in), separate containers are not actually provided within the cabins to make this easy for guests to do. Instead guests are expected to separate, store, and haul their recycling to the main office for disposal even though designated bags, bins, or containers are not provided to keep the recycling separate and easy to haul. I’ll certainly be staying at Lost Lodge again in the future. We originally booked through a platform called glampingHub.com, but next time I plan to call and book directly with Lost Lodge for our next glamping getaway.
My family and I had a Great time there over the 4th of July! The Cabins are Cute. Furnished. Comfortable. The owners were very nice. Love the Peacocks!! Also loved Peanut! I want one. Hehehe. Convenient to major roads and to the Beautiful Lake Cumberland and Cumberland Falls which I might add was breathtaking. We have already decided on returning next July 4th!! Thanks for a relaxing experience. Take Care
We were made to feel welcomed from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The cabin we stayed in (one of the larger) was fully furnished with a kitchen, bath and shower, and two cozy bedrooms and a surprisingly roomy living area. There is Wi fi and it worked well for us. There are plenty of animal friends on site, chickens and a rooster, peacocks and a miniature stalion named Peanut the cabins are conviniently located near Somerset, and a half hour away from Cumberland Falls, with all kinds of hiking, watersports and outdoor activities in the general area. Plenty of resturaunts and stores nearby if you need anything. We will definitely be going back
This is our third time staying at Lost Lodge and every time is better then the last. Donna and Mike are very welcoming and their cabins are very cozy and clean, this place is perfect for a weekend getaway. There is ample boat parking and several boat ramps within a very short drive. I can not recommend enough as we will be guest for life.
We loved staying here. Very relaxing atmosphere. The cabins are rustic and comfortable. Quiet area. Not too far from Cumberland Lake or Cumberland Falls. The owner was very nice. We will definitely be coming back.
Great little cabins here. There isn’t a whole lot of room for a family of 4 or more but it’s does the trick. All the giant trees surrounding and standing over you is fun. Parking can be tricky if you have a boat but they do have an area you can leave your trailer. Be sure to bring item that you would bring if you were going camping as they don’t have a whole lot of kitchen ware.
